LONDALE THEUS JR
Standing at 6'6", with a Dad who was drafted in the NBA, and an Uncle who was an NBA All-Star, I used all that Height Privilege...to tell jokes.
I'm a theatrical, physical comedian who loves using act outs, characters and strong emotion to tackle racial and social issues, as well as as dive deep into my personal life:
Growing up in a Black Vegan Family, Going to Defund The Police protests even though my Dad was a Cop, Being Celibate for 8 years before getting Married, Being the Tallest person in Japan and India, Flying to Africa for the first time, and more!

TV / FILM
I got my first break into TV acting in sketches for "Chelsea Lately", "The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno", and "Conan".
After that, I started recurring as several characters in IFC's beloved "Comedy Bang! Bang!" with Scott Aukerman, and working on sitcoms like CBS's "2 Broke Girls", FOX's "Grandfathered", playing opposite Zendaya in DISNEY's "K.C. Undercover" & more.
I worked with Directors Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg while guest starring in HULU's "Futureman", and show up as Playa Plumba in Issa Rae's hit HBO series "Insecure."
I was also reunited with my comedy peers Jocelyn Deboer and Dawn Luebbe while working on their IFC film "Greener Grass" which can now be seen on HULU.

You can currently see me starring in the "Regal x Pepsi "commercial playing before every movie in all Regal Cinemas!
I started off my career playing basketball players in several commercials for "Mini Cooper" (which aired during opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics), "Skittles", "Footlocker" w/ Dwight Howard, and "State Farm" w/ Chris Paul.
I also worked on several spots as the spokesperson for "HP's #WorkFromHappyPlace" campaign as well as spots for "Wells Fargo", "AT&T", "Farmers Insurance" w/ J.K. Simmons and more.

COMEDY
STAND-UP
I've been doing stand up in Los Angeles for over a decade and performed in the city's most iconic clubs: COMEDY STORE Mainstage & Belly Room (Crack Em' Up Thursdays), HOLLYWOOD IMPROV, Headliner weekends and Host/MC at FLAPPERS COMEDY CLUB, Host/MC at THE COMEDY CHATEAU, THE ICE HOUSE and more.
I've also traveled the country doing stand up from Austin TX, to Atlanta GA, and been a featured comedian at NEW YORK COMEDY CLUB in Midtown.
I made my stand up debut on "NBC's THE LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY" where I performed my stand up set and filmed an interview segment. You can see the segment on my FEATURED CLIPS.
During the early stages of the pandemic I produced a popular monthly comedy show in L.A. - "LONDALE THEUS JR presents: MIX IT UP! COMEDY" - featuring L.A.'s dopest BIPOC comedians where they get to perform longer sets, and most importantly, WE PAID THEM!

IMPROV
I started taking improv classes at UCB (THE UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE) in 2012 and have been performing on the mainstage since 2014 as well as coaching several improv teams. My team "ROCOCO" performed on Harold Night for 3 amazing years, as well as multiple DEL CLOSE MARATHONS and several improv festivals.
I co-founded the all black improv group "PHI BETA NEGRO" in 2013 who helped spark the diversity wave in the L.A. indie improv scene.
I've also performed at THE GROUNDLINGS several times as a special guest in their "Cookin With GAS" show.
I currently perform in a monthly show at UCB with my team "BENETTON - an all-star improv group of BIPOC comedians" - who formed at the Del Close Marathon in 2017 and have been performing ever since. We perform on the 4th Fridays at 8:30Pp. For info on upcoming shows check out the SHOWS page.
SKETCH
In 2010, my first video sketch that went viral on YouTube was the WILLOW SMITH "WHIP MY HAIR" SPOOF where I played Willow Smith, Will Smith, and Jay-Z!
Since then I began performing original characters and sketches online and on stage at the Upright Citizens Brigade, as well as performing for 2 years on UCB's MAUDE NIGHT WITH MY SKETCH TEAM "BOMBARDIER".
I also worked for 2 years in the prestigious CBS DIVERSITY SHOWCASE: Working as a comedy writer for the showcase in 2015, and a writer/actor in the main cast in 2016, where they selected around 20 of us out of thousands of actors who auditioned across the country. THEATRE
My acting journey began when my basketball career ended. After a devastating knee injury ended my days as a college basketball player, I left the court for the stage and spent 2 amazing years in the CSU LONG BEACH THEATRE program.
With the amazing faculty offering extensive training in Audition Technique, Advanced Voice, Shakespeare Scene Study, Michael Chekhov Acting Technique, Meisner, and more, I got to work with amazing directors in several productions including: LATE, A COWBOY SONG by Sarah Ruhl, AS YOU LIKE IT by Shakespeare and GENTLEMAN REDUX: A U2 Musical and Physical Theatre adaptation of Shakespeare's Two Gents of Verona as devised and directed by John Farmanesh-Bocca.
in 2022 I was cast as Chad Deity in The Chance Theatre's production of "THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY" by Kristoffer Diaz and directed by Jeremy Aluma. It was a dream role in a dream production and as were met with rave reviews and several nominations from Stage Scene LA Awards and the OC Theatre Guild Awards.
